Lately, I have had the privilege to make many different cakes for birthday parties and holidays. Here are some of my latest creations:

This cake was for Easter. It is a vanilla chocolate chip cake with chocolate ganache in between the cake layers. It is smeared with vanilla buttercream in a half-naked look. To do this: frost the outside of the cake with the vanilla buttercream, and them scrap off parts of it with a spoon or knife, and smooth the outside. You’ll want parts of the cake to have more white buttercream than others. It is drizzled with more chocolate ganache and decorated with vanilla buttercream flowers.

This next cake I made for a birthday. It is a delicious chocolate cake with raspberry French buttercream (which takes forever to make, but it is so worth it!!). The decoration is chocolate ganache, raspberry buttercream roses, chocolate macarons, sugared raspberries, and honeycomb sprinkles. This cake was so delicious, and it is sure to impress!

This cake was also for a birthday party. It is a confetti cake (basically a vanilla cake with sprinkles) with whipped cream frosting. For the decoration, I did a watercolor look by coloring some of the whipped cream frosting 2-3 colors, dabbing it on the cake, and smoothing it all together. The top has edible glitter sprinkles and rice paper flowers.
